SAALT gears up for the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11
In light of the death of Osama Bin Laden, the world has been reflecting on the upcoming ten-year anniversary of September 11th. While I was visiting Washington, DC back in June, I sat down with Deepa Iyer and Afshan Khoja from the community activist organization, South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT). Deepa discussed how September 11th has impacted the South Asian community in the US, as well as other minorities. Afshan spoke about SAALTs latest campaign, An America for All of Us.
