Thanhha Lai: Inside Out & Back Again

Thanhha Lai is the award-winning author of Inside Out & Back Again. Thanhha Lai’s semi-autobiographical book of prose poems won the 2011 National Book Award for Young Adult Literature as well as the 2012 Newberry Honor.

I interviewed her for APA Compass at KBOO 90.7 FM over the phone as she described her experiences as a Vietnamese refugee in Alabama at the height of the Vietnam War.
